From Fashion Shows to METRO Magazine, I had the beautiful coincidental pleasure of bumping into these two twins in ZARA; the SoHo location. It was somewhat of a dreary day for me because my bestie was being so indecisive on her entire wardrobe. And suddenly from my peripheral, I spot two very glamourously put together women. But of course, who else could it be but CoCo & Breezy (^-^). Complimenting my vest as walk, they made me wanna stop and talk. We stood and chit chat for a bit and from that moment I knew they were going to be a hit! We exchanged contacts with one another and said our good bye's as we departed our ways. But you cannot help but impliment the thought and idea that CoCo & Breezy are here to STAY! They've already left their mark in the dark. All you've gotta do is hitch and fix the glitch in that swith so the light can unveil what they have already prevailed. These two women are so illustrious and luminous, it conveys through their style. I guarantee you that they'll be around for more than a while. If you haven't been graced with their presence just yet, don't be upset. It's no sweat. They are now willing and able to share of piece of them with everyone because their empire has just begun. You can now fragment a portion of their culture through their site and take a bite of such tasty delight. http://www.cocoandbreezy.com THAT'S THE WEBSITE ;-)

These lusty Fashion Designers show no chance of stopping at any point soon so expect them to ravish you throughout the years to come. Not only are they such humble spirits but they have a sense of belief that will inspire a nation and the world sooner than later.

There's nothing i can find more sexcy than a young, handsome, intellectual man, with an actual attention span. Contemplating what he can. Making me aware of each sylable that comes from his mouth. I cant help but look down south when he speaks so i can spot if something peeks. Cause if it does, not only will i be excited, I'll be more than happi & delighted to aid the moment of excitement. But regardless of where my eyes fall at the moment, when i hear my dear, dahlak speak loud & clear.... it makes me aware that somewhere out there, somewhere on this sphere, i can find a sincere queer. No longer will i need to fear. Just kick back and have a beer.

Harvey Milk

Harvey Bernard Milk (May 22, 1930 – November 27, 1978) was an American politician and the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California, as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Politics and gay activism were not Milk's early interests; he did not feel the need to be open about his homosexuality or participate in civic matters until around age 40, after his experiences in the counterculture of the 1960s.

Milk moved from New York City to settle in San Francisco in 1972 amid a migration of gay men moving to the Castro District in the 1970s. He took advantage of the growing political and economic power of the neighborhood to promote his interests, and ran unsuccessfully for political office three times. His theatrical campaigns earned him increasing popularity, and Milk won a seat as a city supervisor in 1977, a result of the broader social changes the city was experiencing.

Milk served 11 months in office and was responsible for passing a stringent gay rights ordinance for the city. On November 27, 1978, Milk and Mayor George Mosconewere assassinated by Dan White, another city supervisor who had recently resigned but wanted his job back. Milk's rise to political power was as symbolic as it was real. His election signified and was made possible by a shift in San Francisco politics. The assassinations and the ensuing events were the results of continuing ideological conflicts in the city.

Despite his short career in politics, Milk became an icon in San Francisco and "a martyr for gay rights", according to University of San Francisco professor Peter Novak. In 2002, Milk was called "the most famous and most significantly open LGBT official ever elected in the United States". Anne Kronenberg, his final campaign manager, wrote of him: "What set Harvey apart from you or me was that he was a visionary. He imagined a righteous world inside his head and then he set about to create it for real, for all of us." Milk was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama on August 12, 2009.

Robert & the "BRAND"

Robert's Modifications

Your Name: Robert Cameron
Your EMail Address: mailto:rcameron@bellsouth.net
Your Place of Employment: local Catholic university (let's just leave it at that!)
Your Job Title: Systems Coordinator

Which Came First, The Modification Or The Library Job?
The job -- worked in libraries since 4th grade (unpaid!) through high school, got a job as a library page at NOPL in 1974, worked in libraries ever since.

The Story Behind Your Modification:
My tattoo is a PLUS sign with a pink triangle in the middle. It indicates that I am 1) HIV+ and 2) queer as I can be. I got tired of men who found me attractive until I told them about my status and, whoosh, they were gone. If Mr. Right doesn't get the significance of the tattoo I can't be bothered with him. So far I haven't found Mr. Right, but one has to look to find something...
Where Did You Get It?
A shop called Orleans Ink Tattoos and Body Piercing on Frenchmen Street in the Fauborg Marigny of N.O. I had called another tattoo parlor on N. Rampart Street and told them I was HIV+ and they said "no problem," but when I got there no one was available to tattoo me.... Anyway, went back home, looked up Orleans Ink, called and explained, they said "no problem," so within one hour I had the tattoo (my own not-terribly-original design).
When?
Fall 1996
Why?
See above. Although I'm not a big fan of tattoos (and don't get me started about body piercings), I also "branded" myself al la William F. Buckley's suggestion from the early '80s. I am proud to be queer and not afraid to disclose my HIV status, although since it's on my upper arm I have to be wearing a tank top or sleeveless shirt for anyone to see it, but honey, in New Orleans there are many opportunities to dress minimally all year round. Virtually everyone at work has seen it (and had to have it explained in most cases) and they still offer me bites of food (a N.O. custom), hugs and kisses, babies to hold, etc. so being HIV+ is not a stigma for me at work or anywhere else. Being queer doesn't exactly rest easy with the Church so that's why I'm not including the name of my employer, although I have come out as HIV+ (in 1996) and queer (in 1997) in the campus newspaper.
Also, during that period my best friend Glenn was dying and my tattoo was, for me, a symbol of solidarity with him and everyone else affected by HIV. A CURE HAS NOT BEEN FOUND, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF!

New book by Taylor Siluwe, titled... Dancing With The Devil.
"It's a collectiion of short & provocative stories that will captivate the literary critic and leave you wanting wayyy more than the number of pages it already has."
~Navi

"Dancing With The Devil is a work of dark brilliance - an emotional experience that can leave the reader with the hollow emptiness that follows intense passion and explosive lust for a lover who will take you to ecstatic heights, then destroy you. It is that kind of writing - a journey into the lower depths of the soul with the path illuminated by flashes of hot lightning. And when it is all over, the emptiness slowly fills with the awareness of having survived and of having experienced the brutal edge of life at its most dangerous and most exhilarating. One thing can be guaranteed; you will not forget having read this book. It will excite you, haunt you and finally, it will cast you aside and leave you wanting more." ~ Toby Grace, Editor, Out IN Jersey magazine

Never Really Loved

I'm 21 now and i can honestly say that i have never compeltely fallen in love with anyone. I always ended up dating & getting into relationships out of infatuation, financial status, & material objects. I reflect back and i see that i have dated people who wanted to date me. I've never had really a variety of my own choices. This i regret & now i feel my carnal desire craving for a true love that get's the best of me & all of me. I want someone that i can depend on & for that person to be equally dependent on me. My best friend. Someone who treats me exactly the way i want to be treated. I dont want to be afraid of love anymore. For so many years i been so petrified to give any personal part of me. It's caused me to put up such a good wall, i began believing how much i didn't give a fcuk. Knowing all along that i was completely lying to myself. Just because of one guy's mistake, i'm making it so hard for everyone to get close to me. That's so not fair. So I buried that wall and started fresh with an open mind, a different set of rules, as well as a new game plan. So far it has introduced quite a few of new faces to my life but one of them definately has my attention.. But i'm not kissing & telling just yet guys. Let's see how this plays out. I'll be sure to keep you posted ;]

Battered Beloved

The most strenuous and exhausting ordeal to deal with was having him be my first. He completely astounded and amazed me and increased my thirst. For him i was bounded and grounded. Trapped in emotional dysfunction. Later on, I came to find out that this relationship had a vital malfunction. One day came home and he struck me across the dome. Not only was i surprised, his true self was disguised. I didn't know who he was anymore because at one time he was someone i adored. He apologised. Told me that he was upset and couldn't rationalize. So I just went to the gym, got a trim, and in a whim I went back to him. That was mistake number one. The initial apology was immediatly undone. The next incident took place at the park in the dark. We sat together on a bench and gazed at the city across the water. Saw nothing more beautiful and looked at the stars. But inside I had noticible scars. They were introspectively inflicted. I couldn't help it though. To him i was so addicted. In an instant i was shocked. He wanted me to grab his cock. He said to me, "Put it in your mouth". I told him i wasn't going down south. Especially if we're out & about. I wasn't into public sexual affection, but he still had an erection. Thinking that I might give in, I just cheesed and showed him my grin. He didn't think this was funny and threw me like I was a bunny. I had dealt with this before but foolishly i thought he wasn't going to do this to me anymore.

"The Night Trade" BY: Sherice "NIKKI" Barnes & Vanessa "LA" Mullings

I've had the privilege to read about 20 pages of this fascinating novel & I'm already in love.. don't want to release too much info about it but definately stay tuned......It'll be worth your wait. Trust me!

The Night Trade is a powerful tale based on true events that chronicles the journey of five intriguing women with one common bond. They all become part of the society of nameless faceless women generally despised by other women and revered by men. Through all the joys and horrors these women find a bond greater than that of "The Ranch" an exotic dance club.

Vanessa “L.A” Mullings and Sherice “Nikki” Barnes are two authors who after writing their first book entitled “The Night Trade” decided that they weren’t just going to be yet just one more of the very many authors who write a book, self-publish it, and resort to letting there masterpiece collect dust. Instead, these two decided to create there own publishing company “Timeless Publishing, LLC.”

L.A, owner of LASELAND ENTERTAINMENT comes from an extensive background in the music industry working with the likes of some of the industry’s chart topping recording artists and producers. One of her major accomplishments was landing her publishing deal through Famous Music (SONY/ATV Music Publishing.) L.A discovered Sherice Barnes a new author through a mutual colleague and saw her talent, potential, and ambition to be successful. L.A was in the process of her project entitled, “The Night Trade” overzealous L.A proposed the opportunity for Sherice to come aboard and work and write on the project.

The rest is still a work in progress destined to make history. The two entrepreneurs’ are driven visionaries who are vested into bringing a totally different twist back into the book publishing industry in a world where paperback books have become obsolete to the new modernized eBook. Sherice and L.A believe that there is a core market and audience still dedicated to supporting solid authors who have quality material making an impact in the book industry. They have several other projects currently in the works scheduled for a late 09’ and 2010 to be released.
